On highways or rural roads, keep to the right of your lane.
In urban areas, you'll usually drive in the middle of the lane. However, your position in the lane should allow you to see as much as possible.
Your lane position provides information to other drivers. If you intend to turn left, move to the left side of the lane. If you're going to turn right, move to the right side of the lane, but be careful to leave enough room for passing parked vehicles.
At some intersections, signs or traffic lights indicate two or more lanes may be used to complete a turn. At these locations, you must approach the intersection and complete the turn in the same relative lane position.
